How do you live your love?

The theme of the 2023 #UCQpoetrycontest was chosen by the UCQ poetry club. Themes will be life and love. So, we want to know, how do you live your love?

Who: The contest is open to all UCQ students.

What: Original poems can be submitted to the contest. 
Poems can be written in a language other than English; however, an English translation of the poem must also be submitted. The English translation will be judged for the contest.

When: February 5 – March 4

Where: Poems should be submitted to daniel.forgrave@ucalgary.ca by 23:59:59 p.m. on March 4, 2023.

All poems will be posted anonymously on the LC boards* throughout campus and 
in the “Creative Writing” LC guide.                  

Why: Strengthen the UCQ community.

Writing poetry can increase student nurses’ empathy, compassion, and critical thinking.

*The LC boards outside of the library and cafeteria will display QR codes linked to poems related to Life and Love throughout the month of the contest. 

QR codes linked to poems will also be found at the cafeteria checkout, the LC information desk, and the main entrance.

Be sure to scan the QR codes throughout the month for a daily dose of inspiration and entertainment. The codes will change often so keep coming back!
