What is Love for you?

What is Love for you?

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Some say love is irrational
it makes the so-called wise unwise. And the foolish all the more foolish.

Some say love is fleeting
like the wind. Here today, gone the next.

Some say love is blind
it only sees what it wants to see. Afraid of seeing what light uncovers.

Some say love is in the little things
a small forehead kiss or a handwritten note says a million more.

Some say love is sacrificial
each one giving a part of themselves, even if it means getting nothing in return.

Some say love is all in the heart
and follow your heart they say, but take your brain with you.

Some say love only exists in fairytales
the only place where frogs and beasts are princes in disguise. But all that magic ends at midnight.

So think about it.
What is love for you?
