Wind

Wind

From seconds, to minutes, to hours, to days,
The lightest of feathers and heaviest of chains.
Whatever surrounds you, whoever it may,
Makes days feel like seconds and feathers like chains.

Hundreds and zeroes align into one,
Each eye bestows value to what it lays on.
One person whose worth is like gold to someone,
Is dust in the wind to somebody who shuns.

Each lie and deception are water to steel,
When rust shows, they vanish like smoke in the breeze.
Keep those around you whose honesty’s real,
And not just whatever they want you to feel.

Look at the mirror and you will see gold,
And make your own map towards treasures untold.
Whatever surrounds you, whoever it may,
Is lift to your wings and wind to your sails.
