What a privilege the domestic life 
We go to Ikea together and 
order our donuts and coffee with ice 
an errand is never boring with you 
when you're here I'll bring out the cafetière
and bring you coffee on the balcony
incandescently happy around you
and for that week straight that you had a cold
after I nursed you and gave me your flu 
we took our cough medicine together 
I remind you to go to the dentist 
although I hate going to the dentist 
you must insist and take me with you too 
what a privilege to be loved by you
