Heaven? Or Hell?

Heaven? Or Hell?

Stretching, snapping
I hear every fiber of the rope
As I hang on the last thread

The wind rushes through me
No, I rush through the wind.
Speeding up, then it stops.

As I open my eyes
I thought “Heaven? Or Hell?”
I stare blankly at pitch-white darkness

Silence.
And then,
Warmth.

I feel it slowly spreading
Through my numbness
I thought “Heaven? Or Hell?”

I see shadows.
Once again, “Heaven? Or Hell?”
As I look at the silhouettes

“We’ve been waiting for you!”
I rush through the wind
Sorry I kept you waiting.
