My Letter to Heaven
In the heavens above, your presence lit up the sky
A melody of memories, my cherished lullaby
Your voice, a gentle whisper as the wind blows
If I could bring back time, I would a thousand times
Our paths crossed, shared moments during our youth
Our dreams, painted, in colors of the rising sun
The future once of reach, now a void, helplessly gone
In your absence, the painted sky turned gray in sorrow
I yearn for the days when we’d drown in laughter
Get into trouble and quarrel like there’s no tomorrow
A life without you, an unfamiliar terrain
If I could bring back time, I would a thousand times
As stars above form constellations anew,
I hope the wind would bring my letter back to you
In another life, I know our spirits would collide
The journey we had I would once again ride
Time will flow, in my heart, you will remain,
In eternity’s embrace, as friends, we’ll enthrall
Your light dazzles, as the night falls down
If I could bring back time, I would a thousand times
I’ll hold you close, believing we’ll meet again
In memory of Micah Pingul, my dear friend.
