Citing sources in APA format

Group as Author

If the source you are using is written by a group (such as an association, a board, a company, etc.), use the name of the group as the author. If the abbreviation is well-known, write it out in full the first time followed by the abbreviation in square brackets for the abbreviation. Then, in  citations after the first one, use only the abbreviation:

Narrative Citation

According to data collected by the World Health Organization (WHO, 2019), Qatar ranked 99% for measles vaccine coverage in 2016.

According to data collected by the WHO (2017), Qatar ranked 99% for measles vaccine coverage in 2016.

Parenthetical Citation

Qatar ranked 99% for measles vaccine coverage in 2016 (World Health Organization [WHO], 2019).

Qatar ranked 99% for measles vaccine coverage in 2016 (WHO, 2019).​
