APA Referencing

Reports and documents from healthcare organizations are important sources of information for nursing researchers. Many of these documents are delivered through the corporate intranet which is available only to its staff, not to the general public. 

Because these documents cannot be retrieved by the general reader, they are not cited in the reference list. Instead, they use the in-text citation format for personal communications. The examples below show how to cite the author as a personal communication as well as the title in your text. These examples are based on the Corporate Strategic Plan 2019-2023 by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) that cannot be retrieved by someone who is not a PHCC employee, such as your teachers.
