Writing Style

Add an apostrophe + "s" to nouns to show ownership of something. This is the possessive form.

Rules

Add 's to singular nouns.

Example: Qatar's vision is to improve its health care system.

Example: This can affect the other patient's lives and can affect the other nurse's health too.

Add 's to plural nouns that do not end in s.

Example: Hamad Hospital has designated new signs for men's and women's prayer areas.

Add an apostrophe ' to plural nouns that end in s.

Example: This can affect other patients' lives and can affect other nurses' health too.
