Paragraphs

A paragraph is a group of sentences that are related to each other and support one main idea.

In general, paragraphs consist of three parts: the topic sentence, body sentences, and the concluding or the bridge sentence to the next paragraph or section.

Paragraphs are the building blocks of your papers and assignments. Paragraphs help you organize your ideas to keep them clear. Paragraphs show your reader(s) how your paper is organized, which makes it easier for the reader(s) to understand your main points.
