A poster is an opportunity to present your research and projects to a larger audience, including student peers, professional colleagues, and the larger academic community beyond your university.
Posters are a print medium, but they are most often accompanied by an oral presentation where you explain the information in a given time frame. Only the most important details and key messages are presented in the poster itself, so posters are also an excellent tool to refine your skills of synthesis, summary, and concise writing.
