Citation Management

How to store and reuse your citations?

Add PDFs to Mendeley

Add Full-Text PDF to Mendeley

Add articles to Mendeley by dragging and dropping a PDF into the Mendeley Desktop window from your computer. Mendeley will automatically extract the details from the document and create a citation for that article. If you add a PDF for an article citation that is already in your All Documents Folder, Mendeley will find the matching citation and add the PDF.

You can also drag and drop a folder containing multiple articles at the same time.

  1. It is important that you check the citations carefully. Mendeley may sometime unable to retrieve the citation data and create a wrong/incomplete citation.
  2. Mendeley may sometime not have access to retrieve and save the .PDF of a citation directly from database. Please download the PDF separately and attach to the citation.
