What is EndNote Online?

The EndNote online ( also known as EndNote Basic) is a free web-based reference management system. An enhanced version is available to all University of Calgary students, faculty, and staff through Web of Science subscription. 

EndNote mainly offers four versions:

EndNote X9 EndNote online with desktop EndNote Basic (Free) EndNote online with Web of Science
Require to purchase Avaiable with the EndNote desktop purchase. Discount price is available for UofC students and staffs Free and can sign up through myendnoteweb.com Navigate from WoS to myendnoteweb.com

Registering for an account via Web of Science

  • Go to Web of Science database through University of Calgary
  • Click on EndNote at the top of the screen
  • Click register on the right of screen 
  • Enter email address, preferred password, and name as required.
  • Click Sign up
  • You will soon recieve an activation link via email. Click the link to activate your account.

End Note Desktop Version

Contact the Medical Bookstore by email for questions about how to purchase the EN software. The version ENX9 and the new version EndNote 20 can be purchased at an educational  U of C pricing of $150 CDN + GST for current students, faculty and staff. Provide a current UCID upon transaction.
