How to Interpret the Similarity Score

Similarity reports summarize matching or highly similar text in submitted papers. A similarity score percentage will be displayed when a similarity report is available.

The range of percentages is between 0% to 100%. According to the amount of matching or similar text in the paper, the color of the report icon indicates the similarity score. A grayed-out icon in the similarity column indicates that no report has been generated.

The color icon indication:

Blue The blue color indicates that no text was matched.
Green   The green color indicates the most common matches, between 1% and 24%.
Yellow Yellow matches text above 25-49%.
Orange Orange matches text above 50-74%.
Red Red matches text above 75-100%.
