Paraphrasing

Write in your own words what you have read.

Writing a Paraphrase

You can use four main methods to help you successfully paraphrase source material:

  • sharing,
  • blocking,
  • diagramming, and
  • focusing on sentence structure.

More information about paraphrasing and paraphrasing practice can be found  at "Paraphrasing," from San Jose State University.
