This guide provides instruction on how to create PowerPoint presentations. Topics include design principles, concise writing, use of images, and APA style.
Feeling nervous, shy, or even scared to give a presentation is normal.
When we are nervous about public speaking, some of us tend to speak too quickly or fail to make eye contact with our audience, which will make our presentation less effective.
Even though nervousness affects all of us at some point, you can become a more confident and effective presenter simply by changing your body language and by practicing speaking to find confidence in your voice.
Planning
Consider the following when planning your presentation.
Remember your audience. Connect with your audience throughout your presentation.
Know your purpose. Understanding why you are there and what you aim to accomplish will help you gather appropriate information and organize your presentation.
