Discussion Section of Literature Reviews

The discussion section is where you show the significance or importance of what you have found in your literature review.

Beginning the Discussion Section 

You should begin the discussion section by restating

• the purpose of your literature review,
• the main themes you found that are related to the problem and purpose of your literature review, and
• the relationship between these main themes as visualized in your conceptual framework.

This will help to remind the reader(s) of why you are doing your literature review.
