Annotated Bibliography

APA Referencing

Your annotated bibliography has two parts:

1. The reference

2. The annotation. This section analyzes the article.

In an annotated bibliography entry, the full APA citation for the source is placed above the annotation.

For assignment purposes, a references list is also required.

Even though you begin the annotation with the citation, you need to start your summary with a narrative citation (beginning of the sentence).

The LC guide on APA Referencing provides guidance on the bibliographic citation and the in-text citation.
