Citation for the original author is embedded in the summary text using APA style.
Research topic or problem is presented (summarized or paraphrased).
Purpose or aim of the study/article is presented (summarized or paraphrased).
Essential supporting detail(s) are conveyed (combine paragraphs into single sentences where possible).
Summary is true to source text meaning and ideas; new ideas or critical comment are not added.
Different words and sentence structures are used: No more than four or five words in sequence are taken from the original source.
