The Learning Commons is closed to in-person visits. Electronic resources are accessible through Primo. Please check university email for latest updates.
In this process, we go on your behalf to ask from another library for an article or book chapter that you have requested. We do not question why you need it and work to complete the request within 24 hours of your submission. Unfortunately the response from the other library may not be as quick.
We will only fill requests that cannot be located by the electronic resources available through UCQ access.
What can you request?
Books or Parts of book (Chapters)
At this time, we are not filling any requests for complete books. If you submit a request for a book not in our collection, we will look in the local community where it may be held and send you information on our findings.
Remember, if you request pages from a book, there will be a limit of 10% or one chapter, whichever is less. A basic copyright rule.
COMPLETE citations of journal articles are accepted, although not all will be filled. In the past, there has been no limitation on the article type or publication year.
When you submit your request, we will check if it is readily available to you through the UCQ resources. If it is, you will be notified that you need to look for it through "citation searching."
If the article cannot be located through UCQ resources, we will submit your request to main campus.
When we receive the access to the article, you will be sent an e-mail with its details.
If you do not hear from us within four days, kindly send a note for a status of your request. It may still be in process. In addition, if you still have questions come to the Learning Commons or email us. We will be in touch with you.
