Presenting

In presenting information, here are some ideas to consider before you stand in front of people.

After your Presentation

Here are a few tips to follow after your presentation:

Review

  • Did you cover all the points you wanted to make? Did you complete the presentation in the correct amount of time?
  • Write out what worked in your presentation and what did not so that you can improve your presentation skills.
  • Ask for feedback from classmates and other audience members, and consider their comments with an open mind to understand.
  • Your instructor's feedback can offer further improvements on all aspects of your presentation from its focus and content to the way you present.

Reflect

  • Did presentation nervousness help or harm your presentation? Think of why or why not.
  • Were you able to attend to the audience reaction to your presentation? Were they interested? Did they ask questions?
